Resolved - The root cause of the isolated network issues reported this morning has been identified and repaired. Monitoring will continue throughout the weekend.

Update - We are continuing to investigate this issue.

Investigating - We have received some isolated reports of network connectivity issues in offices and we have seen similar connection problems in some of the classroom computers as well. The network engineers are investigating the problem and we will provide updates as they become available. Wireless network connectivity does not appear to be affected.

Update - We are still working through the network outage in DSC East. This is not a complete outage, classroom lecterns equipment is working, as of room checks this morning, and we have wireless in parts of the building, but computer lab systems are not talking to the network. We are continuing to work through this with our engineers. In the meantime, please reach out to the Service Desk or the Registrar if you need to move your classes. Computer lab availability is minimal but we will do our best to accommodate.

Scheduled - The engineers completed the upgrade of the east side of DSC last night. All upgrades were completed and tested by 6 am this morning. At this point, there are no known issues. The west side equipment will be staged this evening and that upgrade is planned to begin at 10 pm on Wednesday.

I will update you tomorrow to confirm the upgrade plans for Wednesday night unless something changes before then.

Resolved - The last room Boler 120 is fully functional.

Identified - We have resolved the issues in the St. Ignatius Hall classrooms and are working to resolve the one remaining issue in 120 Boler College of Business. If you have class in BCB 120 and need additional capabilities or to move rooms please contact the Service Desk at 216-397-3005.

Update - During our morning room checks, we ran into a few rooms that were unresponsive. We are currently investigating the underlying issues, but in the meantime, we have been able to get the rooms to a point in basic functionality.

In SIH 25, 47, 48, 49, 54, and CBC 120 we currently have the following functionality:
Lectern PC to the projector
No Audio
No Zoom
No additional sources

We don't have an ETA at this point but will update you as we resolve the issues in these rooms. If you have any questions or need to change classrooms please reach out to the service desk and we will try to accommodate you as best we can with the assistance of the registrar's office.

Scheduled - The Extreme Networks engineers are prepared and ready to upgrade the East wing of the Dolan Science Center beginning at 10 pm this evening. They will begin in the first and second-floor network closets. Once testing has been completed, and the upgrade determined to be successful, they may move to the third-floor network closet if time allows. All work will be completed and tested by 7 am tomorrow morning.

If you run into a problem with any computers or printers, please try rebooting them first. If that does not resolve the issue, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 216.397.3005 or servicedesk@jcu.edu.

Scheduled - Information Technology Services will be performing maintenance on the Primary Data Center. Single Sign-on authentication services will be moved to the Secondary Datacenter during this migration providing minimal to no disruption to cloud services like Google and Canvas. However, during the migration, there will be no access to on-campus hosted services including files (H: and O: drives) and Banner. Google Drive will not be affected.
